A range of independent health practitioners, including medical and surgical specialists offering consulting services, are based at the Wakefield Specialist Medical Centre. The Centre is located on-site at Wakefield Hospital. Access is from the Rintoul Street entrance, Newtown, Wellington.
The Wakefield Specialist Medical Centre adjoining the hospital provides specialist consulting rooms as well as laboratory, physiotherapy and radiology facilities. The Central Gynaecology team have specialists who hold clinical privileges at Wakefield Hospital and have rooms in the WSMC.
